Missions trip to the World! It is an opportunity to be exposed to the different religions and people groups of the world. All of this will take place in Alpharetta, GA.Why Have It?
We believe our camp is unique, not only because it is one of the few directed toward high school and college students for the cause of missions, but also because the world is our campus. You will spend time on the street, in a mosque, in a Buddhist temple, and many other places that will expose you to the needs of the world!Who is it for?
High school and college students who are serious about serving the Lord, desirous to learn about missions, and seeking God’s will for their lives. What will the camp involve?
- Time with missionaries from around the world
- In depth Questions & Answer Sessions
- Travel to the Nations in Atlanta, GA (Islamic Mosque, Hindu Temple, Buddhist Temple, & more)
- Missionary Training Classes

Our Generation has many years of experience training people “for the field, on the field.” During the camp you will see the false religions of the world.During this exciting week we will visit:
-Buddhist Temple
-Hindu Temple
-Islamic MosqueWe will learn some of the ceremonial customs of the Buddhist religion. Afterwards, we will take time to ask questions about what they believe.
It is hard to believe, but the city of Atlanta is home to hundreds of idols that people worship on a daily basis. This year we will be visiting the 5th largest HinduTemple outside of India.
One of the most exciting aspects of the conference is getting to spend time with college students of like faith and passion for missions.
Join us as we pray for the students who will be spending their summer overseas with our missionaries.
O.G. Summit “One Day”
The Our Generation Mobilization team strikes again. We had a great time putting on the O.G. Summit “One Day” Friday evening at New Life Baptist Church in Pickens, SC with pastor Brandon Freeman.
A O.G. Summit “One Day” is like a mini version of the Summit that we host in Gatlinburg, TN every year. It is a two hour event with challenging preaching on missions, singers from Vision Baptist church proved great music, and we even have break out sessions where we break up into smaller groups and learn about different topics dealing with World Evangelism.
Thank you pastor Freeman for the opportunity to challenge your young people for the cause of World Evangelism! May the Lord send forth laborers into His harvest!

Our church, Vision Baptist Church, is hosting a seminar for businessmen. Here are the details:
Businessmen Seminar: Priorities, Decisions and Balance?
Do you desire to serve the Lord but find that many distractions in your life shift your focus away from Him? Do you have a difficult time wanting to know God better but find that there’s not much time to do so? When you’re with family and friends who don’t know Christ, do you find yourself distracted by their priorities?
Join us at Vision Baptist Church on Saturday, March 6th from 9AM to 1PM as we discuss the answers to some of the following questions:
- How can pastors believe that my life should revolve around God when I do not have the luxury of time that a pastor has?
- How do you keep focused on God when your life is consumed with business and worldly distractions?
- How do I keep from focusing on my needs, concerns, ambitions, and allow God to use me?
- How do I balance my time between family, friends, God, and business?
- How can I increase my ability to draw close to God and remain close to Him when I am consumed by business and work?
- How do you love God when your life is filled with unsaved family, friends, coworkers, etc?
Come hear from the personal experience of John Pearson, a businessman from our church, on how he has focused on Christ and avoided distractions. Hear what God’s word says about balance from Austin Gardner our pastor. Come with questions.

The Our Generation Student Leadership Camp
The Our Generation Leadership Camp
By wagardner on Jan 27, 2010Let’s be honest, traveling around the world is expensive. Airfare alone with all its hidden costs can easily break anyone’s budget. But what if you could see the world, without leaving the United States?
The world itself has gotten smaller. It was once normal that in order to taste authentic Indian food, you would need to travel to India. Or, if you had an interest in Somalia, it would be nearly impossible to get to Somalia to meet and converse with a Somalian. Those days, however, are over.
This summer in Atlanta, Georgia; high school and college age students can see the world in what is becoming one of the most culturally diverse cities in the nation. In the city of Atlanta, within one hour you can make it to either the largest Islamic mosque in the Southeastern United States or the largest Hindu temple within the entire country. There are an estimated 100,000 Chinese and 75,000 Muslims living in the Atlanta area. In addition to these people groups there are also Korean, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Bosnian and many more ethnicities that are all found in the city.
This five day long camp is also unique in that it directs students towards the cause of world missions. Students will spend time on the street, in a mosque, at a Buddhist temple and visit many other places as they learn about cultures and religions from all over the world that need to hear the Gospel message. Not only will they be able to have experiences that many Americans have not had, but they will also be challenged by missionaries from around the world and spend time with them as well.
The camp takes place June 14-18. What is the cost? At only $125 ($25 registration fee and $100 camp fee), it is certainly cheaper than flying round trip to nearly any city within the USA. You can find out more information and register now by going to bcwe.org and clicking on events. You do not want to miss this camp, it is five days that can change the world.

The Our Generation Mobilization Team
On Friday Night the Our Generation Mobilization Team, led by Mark Coffey, was able to speak at a youth rally down in Albany, GA! It was my first time going and speaking with the team, outside one of our own events, and it was awesome! Therefore, I wanted to let you know of the opportunity of having the Mobilization Team come and run/speak at your next youth rally or church event.
The Our Generation Mobilization Team is a team of missionaries and church leaders who passionately present the biblical mandate and the need for laborers. In the amount of time given you will hear from multiple missionaries, see relevant videos, and they even bring their own singing group.
It is our desire to mobilize young men and women to carry the Gospel to the world. So, if you are thinking of having a teen meeting, missions conference, or revival, contact Mark Coffey about bringing the Our Generation Mobilization Team.

OG Summit 2010 in Review
It seems each year the summit gets better! We had a great crowd this year, powerful preaching, and good music. I know there were many that made real decisions to risk their lives to get the gospel around the world. It will be and is exciting to see the fruit of what God will be and is doing around the world as a result of this conference. Men are equipping for battle!
One of the best ways to describe the summit and what it is was written on a pastor’s (Tom Schreeder) blog who has attended the conference for the past five years. Yesterday, he wrote the following:
“Every year for the past five I have had the privilege of taking a group of young people to the Our Generation Summit in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee during the holiday break. My first acquaintance with this group was at a summer camp at Fort Bluff, TN. There a group of college-aged young people had gathered together for the cause of world missions. My daughter was one of those young people, and I, as an interested father, went to the camp to check it out.
What I encountered there surprised and thrilled me. Here, under the banner of Baptists Committed to World Evangelism (BCWE) and the leadership of missionary-pastor Austin Gardner, was a small group of young people who sincerely believed they could evangelize the world in this generation. Not only did they believe it, they had plans to do it. Not only did they have plans, they had resources and manpower. Mostly, though, they had the enthusiasm and optimism of youth. And it was clearly contagious. A worker with youth at the time, I clearly saw the advantage of getting young people under the influence of this amazing group of missionaries. So began our trips to the Summit.
So what is a Summit, anyway? The Summit is a three-day meeting, beginning about noon on Thursday and ending at noon on Saturday. During that time, there are a number of sessions, more or less equally divided between joint sessions where everyone meets together and mini-sessions where the students are divided into small groups to study individual topics in more detail. For the 2009 meeting, such topics as Life on Life Discipleship, Media in Ministry, The Real Islam, Youth Directors and Missions, and Hudson Taylor were included in the mix. Joint sessions lasting up to three hours each were also conducted, and consisted of alternating periods of preaching, music (godly and inspirational; not carnal), and skits or videos produced by the Our Generation team.
The programs are well-prepared and effective, but it is not the programs that God uses to touch young hearts, it is the team. From the leader, Bro. Austin Gardner, all the way down to the newest student at the Our Generation Training Center, these are people who are passionate about world evangelism. They believe in a big God who is still doing big things, and they are not afraid to go out on a limb for Him or to encourage others to do so. There are no closed fields to this group, neither is there any vision too big. They dare to believe that when Jesus gave the Great Commission, He meant it for every Christian to go to every creature in every corner of the world.
The impact on young people is truly amazing. Challenged by straight talk and biblical teaching from men and women who are essentially their peers, our students respond. They begin to see that God not only can do something with their lives, His plan is far better than any they could devise themselves. IT LITERALLY CHANGES THEIR LIVES! F.B. Meyer could have been commenting on the Summit when he made this statement: “Fire the hearts of the young with all the beauty and blessedness of the service of Jesus, and they will not find it so hard to leave nets, and fishing boats, and friends, to forsake all and follow Him.”
The only sadness for me is that, even after five years, the meeting is not nearly as well-known or well-attended as it should be. The 2010 Our Generation Summit will be held again in Pigeon Forge from December 29, 2010 to January 1, 2011. Details will be available on their web site at ogsummit.info somewhere around the end of January, 2010. Pastor, Youth Pastor, Sunday school teacher, this year encourage your students to do something life-changing. Tell them, encourage them, plead with them, beg them if you must, but get them to the 2010 Summit. I guarantee a blessing waits.
Just a servant,
Bro. Tom”
